Metalcraft produced two vacuum and helium containment vessel sets for the first MRI scanners manufactured for clinical use. Since this time we have supplied in excess of 50% of the worldwide supply of whole body MRI cryostat vessel parts, and magnet formers. We have supplied pressure vessels for helium containment, vacuum vessels, magnet formers and other medium to large stainless steel & aluminium fabricated and / or machined items to customers all over the world. Metalcraft have traditionally supported the MRI industry with pressure vessels, vacuum vessels, cryostats and other fabricated and machined equipment. More recently we have supplied pressure vessels for helium containment, vacuum vessels and cryostats for proton therapy equipment.

 
Metalcraft have manufactured vacuum vessels, helium containment pressure vessels and cryostats at our UK site for over 30 years. We supply vacuum vessels, helium containment pressure vessels and cryostats in a range of materials from basic carbon steels, through to high tensile steels, stainless steel, exotic alloys, high nickel alloys and aluminium. Metalcraft can manufacture to a wide range of standards, including PD5500, ASME, AD Merkblatt, CODAP, Stoomwezen, EN 13445, etc. Metalcraft manufacture vacuum vessels, helium containment pressure vessels and cryostats for a range of applications including medical, scientific and research applications. In excess of 40,000 pressure vessels, vacuum vessels and cryogenic vessels have been manufactured by Metalcraft to date and we believe that Metalcraft are the premier manufacturer of medium to large pressure vessels, vacuum vessels and cryogenic vessels in Europe, if not the world.
