Over 50 people gathered on 1st December to listen to a presentation on the launch of the Metalcraft Community Fund. Metalcraft have a long and proud tradition of supporting local clubs & organisations with both financial and non-financial assistance, the launch of this initiative will provide a more structured approach. This will ensure that all eligible organisations have the opportunity to apply for funding to help ensure a diverse range of organisations can continue to develop and grow within the Chatteris community.
To be eligible to apply for funding from the Metalcraft Community Fund organisations must be based in the PE16 postcode and a ‘not for profit’ organisation operating for the benefit of the local Chatteris community.
Commenting on the Community Fund launch, Martin Lawrence, Commercial Director stated ‘Having lived in Chatteris for more than 40 years, I was really pleased to see so many and such a diverse range of organisations in the town. This fund will help to support what already is a great community develop and grow further, having a wide variety of organisations which people can take part in is vital for all of us’.
Applications for the first round of funding are due before the end of January 17, the successful organisations will be announced at the end of February 17.
